YOUTH SUBSTANCE USE

The Alliance conducts a youth prevention needs assessment survey involving all students grades 7-12 in Hamilton County. It measures key indicators including "past 30 day use" of alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs, as well as risk and protective factors that can contribute to youth substance abuse. We offer a comprehensive presentation of current trends and areas of concern to bring to your organization or group.

"The Drug Free Communities (DFC) Support Program is the Nation's leading effort to mobilize communities to prevent youth substance use.The two main goals of the program are:

Reduce substance abuse among youth and, over time, among adults by addressing the factors that increase the risk of substance use and supporting the protective factors that minimize substance abuse.

Strengthen collaboration between communities, non-profit agencies, and local, state & federal governments.
